A silky red, with fine tannins seamlessly married to a lovely range of macerated cherry, baked fig, Earl Grey tea and tar notes. Long and bright on the palate, with a well-spiced finish. Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio. Drink now through 2029. 3,300 cases imported.

The 2019 Etna Rosso is coy at first, requiring coaxing to unlock its dusty mix of dried roses, red currants and exotic spice. This is a juicy and fun effort, one that places purity of fruit up front, yet then seduces the senses with depths of salty minerals and sour citrus that set off the entire experience. While not the last word on length, the 2019 Etna Rosso finishes crisply refreshing while leaving a hint of hard red candies to linger on.
