Pure, juicy, ripe black cherry and blackberry greet the nose, and are quickly followed by intertwined, but not sweet, notes of purple plum, brown sugar, and dark chocolate, cinnamon, and earthy spice. Round and mouth filling on the palate, the 2021 Boom’s Field has a luscious, outgoing personality, with an abundance of ripe fruit flavors that intriguingly combine with bracingly savory impressions of fresh green leaves and black tea.

All of this is bound together in a tightly woven fabric of thick, rich tannins. It’s an impressive mouthful of wine in its youth and will be a joy to observe over time as its dense, velvety texture leans out and its aromatic voices become more distinct.
