The Prisoner Wine Company The Prisoner 2016 1.5LWinemaker Notes: The Prisoner was inspired by the “mixed blacks” first made by the Italian immigrants who originally settled in Napa Valley. The Prisoner is now the most recognized Napa Valley red blend, leading the resurgence of interesting blends by incorporating Zinfandel with the unlikely mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Charbono. The 2016 vintage features enticing aromas of Bing cherry, dark chocolate, clove, and roasted fig. Persistent flavors of ripe raspberry, boysenberry, pomegranate, and vanilla linger harmoniously, for a smooth and luscious finish.
Justin Isosceles Magnum 2014 1.5LWinemaker Notes : For more than 25 vintages, Isosceles has been Justin's flagship wine and quality benchmark for this style of wine here on the Central Coast of California. A blend based on Cabernet Sauvignon supported by Cabernet Franc and Merlot, the 2014 Isosceles is a perfect example of what makes Paso Robles such a great place to grow these varieties. The 2014 Isosceles is exceptionally approachable early on with generous black fruit, spice, and balanced textures, but ultimately structured to last for years in your cellar. Blend: 73% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 12% Merlot
Evening Land Seven Springs Pinot Noir 2015Winery Notes: The 2015 Seven Springs Pinot Noir comes from our oldest own-rooted block of Pinot Noir at the vineyard. Planted in 1984, these Pommard and Wadenswil clones thrive in iron-rich, volcanic Jory soils. These 31-year-old vines are harvested by hand, the grapes hand sorted, and roughly 65% of the fruit was destemmed. Gentle punch downs were employed throughout the fermentation to encourage a soft extraction of tannins and the wine was aged in 20% new French oak for 16 months. The 2015 Seven Springs Pinot Noir was bottled without fining or filtering.
Priest Ranch Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2017Winery Notes: This wine displays melon, crisp grapefruit and hints of tropical passion fruit that are inviting on the nose and palate. There are also layers of lemon and vanilla that provide a lively mouthfeel on the finish. Perfect for any occasion, especially for a relaxed night in at home.
Bouchard Aine & Fils Vin de Bourgogne Rouge 2016Winemaker Notes : This wine features an intense carmine red color tinged with deep purple highlights. The nose is gorgeous, redolent of flowers and red fruits. In the mouth it has a beautiful finesse, smooth, silky tannins and excellent length.
Castello di Volpaia Chianti Classico Riserva 2015Winery Notes: The Chianti Classico Riserva has a ruby-red hue with a trace of garnet. The nose is elegant, displaying hints of spice and fruit. This a well-structured wine with smooth tannins and a long finish.
Domaine des Bosquets La Colline Gigondas 2016Winery Notes: The inaugural vintage of La Colline was in 2013, not an auspicious year for Grenache, but this site planned high in the Dentelles in 1975 weathered the inclement Spring weather well. The soils here are rocky, clay limestone with a high chalk content making for wines that are rich with exceedingly fine tannins.
Hayfork Lewelling Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon 2015Made from grapes grown on our family ranch in St. Helena, the 2014 Hayfork Lewelling Ranch Cabernet is proving itself with layers of tannin, notes of licorice, dark plum and spice. It is 96% Cabernet, 4% Petit Verdot, and 100% Lewelling Ranch.
Far Niente Estate Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Winery Notes: Beautiful aromas of blackberry and boysenberry pie, cassis, licorice and sweet anise, pair gorgeously with hints of lightly toasted oak. Finishing with generous expressions of blackcurrants, raspberries and a touch of plum with more subtle flavors of dried herbs, forest floor and crushed graphite.
