Red Stitch Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
|Region||California, Napa Valley|
This vintage stays true to our Red Stitch style with a blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Malbec, aged 22 months in New French Oak barrels and over twelves months in bottle. Notes of fire toasted cocao, dark cherry, ripe anise, aged tobacco box, dark chocolate, smoky cedar ember, round, supple, beautifully balanced, soft mid palate, round ripe tannins, bright cherry with beautiful acidity on the mid with ripe vanilla bean on the finish.
Not shy on ripeness, as lush plum and blueberry compote flavors glide along, infused with singed vanilla and licorice notes. An anise twinge checks in at the very end, helping to extend the finish. Will have fans for sure.
Hyper lush in feel, with waves of creamed plum, warm fig preserve and steeped blackberry rolling through, laced with black licorice and Christmas pudding notes. Has just enough of a spine to pull it off, but this is aimed purely at the hedonist set. Drink now through 2026. 385 cases made.
