Winery Notes:
A nose of licorice, both red and black, new leather, black cherry, pomegranate reduction, and black pepper. The mouth is bright with cranberry fruit and a chaparral-style wild herbiness, and deeper flavors of baking spices, sweet tobacco, and plum skin. The finish is deep and long, with chalky tannins that suggest there's more to be revealed with time in bottle. Drink now and over the next decade.

This easy-to-enjoy yet complex blend of 43% Syrah, 28% Grenache, 23% Mourvèdre and 6% Counoise only gets more delicious and thought-provoking each vintage. Aromas of lavender, violet and purple fruit on the nose lead into a floral show on the palate as well, where crisp plum-fruit flavors are wrapped in light tannins.

Medium ruby in color, the 2021 Patelin de Tablas is a blend of 43% Syrah, 28% Grenache, 23% Mourvèdre and 6% Counoise. It has inviting aromas of blood orange, raspberry and pomegranate with touches of tar and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate is chalky and fresh with a concentrated core of crunchy fruit and a long, floral finish.

A wildly perfumed bouquet of earthy rose, white pepper and dried strawberries makes the 2021 Patelin de Tablas a total pleasure on the nose. Silky-smooth yet full of energy, this engulfs the palate in a pure blend of red fruits and spices, as sour citrus hints add contrast. It finishes pleasantly chewy, long and full of zesty tension. Residual acids keep the mouth watering for more. In 2021, the Patelin de Tablas has an elevated amount of Mourvèdre, at 33%, and a bit less Grenache, giving this a wonderfully spicy character.

Bright, lifted aromas open on this palate-pleasing Syrah-Grenache-Mourvèdre-based blend, with a touch of Counoise, all sourced from some of Paso's top Rhône-producing vineyards – blueberries and earthy spices wrapped with lovely floral notes. The palate dances with texture, its juicy black raspberry and cherry flavours pure, vibrant and long. There's an irresistible drink-me-now message in this one, but deceptive weight and a vein of iron-rich minerality keep it serious, too.
