Gaston Chiquet Millésime Carte d’Or Premier Cru Brut 2014
|Region||France, Champagne, Vallée de la Marne|
Pale golden hue, fine mousse.
Expressive nose of glazed or dried fruit, quince paste and honey.
Ample palate evoking the nose, aromatic finish.
The 2014 Brut Millésime Carte d’Or is fabulous. Bright and beautifully sculpted, the 2014 is so impressive right out of the gate. Lemon peel, dried herbs, flowers, mint and sage all develop over time. Translucent and so expressive, the 2014 is a real knock-out. Disgorged: November, 2020.
Disgorged in May 2021, the newly released 2014 Brut Premier Cru Or reveals a generous bouquet of honeyed orchard fruit and brioche. Medium to full-bodied, rich and incisive, with a sweet core of fruit, racy acids and a youthfully pillowy mousse, this will come into its own with a bit of age on cork, even if it's far from austere today.
