The palate shows baked plum and strawberry flavors as well as Calera's telltale showing of terpene-laden herbs like bay leaf and marjoram.

Bright wild strawberry aromatics with wildflowers and mint open this entry-level Calera with a fantastic French countryside fruit character. The palate is bright, with dollops of red fruits but a hint of phenolic character followed by wild garrigue notes.

Brought up in 10% new barrels and a larger production release for this estate, the 2022 Pinot Noir Central Coast is ruby-hued and offers a solid nose of ripe framboise, sassafras, and minty, floral-like nuances. It's medium-bodied, round, supple, and undeniably delicious. Drink bottles through 2027. It's a heck of a value.
