The selection of fruit is always paramount and the drawing of fruit from the best sites in the premier and grand crus of Ay, Mareuil-sur-Ay, Chouilly and Oiry is impeccable.

The average vine age is 45 years and the old vine material gives an added dimension of depth of complexity. Tightly coiled and youthful at present, it gives great pleasure currently but this will evolve into a classic given five years or more.
